Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion
Houston - August 10, 2003

So Lollaplooza, well, what can I say, it was ok.  I went late becasue I did not feel like seeing all the other bands/artist/performers.  Though I probably should have gone even later. when I got there The Donnas were on a break, adn soon they came back.  They were alright. not too bad and I still admire them for being chics in the biz.  So they were over and the next ones were the people from Jurassic 5. By now I decided to go all teh way to the back, and sooner than later I fell asleep.  when I woke up Jurassic 5 was alsmost closing their show.  So then I went on to walking around and buying water, and a t-shirt, only one because I was broke from last week's Sanitarium at which I bought like 6-7 t-shirts, each a $30. So yeah, after that I went back and they were preparing the stage for Incubus.  I decided to go into the crowd this time and honestly I am not much of a fan of Incubus, the only song that I really ever liekd was "Drive" and they didn't play it so that kind of sucked.  After Incubus I decided to go walk around again and I bought some accesories and more water.  It was already dark and they were taking a lot of time on setting-up the stage for Auioslave.  I can frankly say that almost 100% of the people were there to see Auidioslave and/or Jane's Addiction. For I saw about a few more thousand people arrive before Audioslave came on.

Damn they put on a good show.  Tom Morello has got to be the freaking coolest dude out there, and one, if not the best, guitarist of our time.  They played all the favorites and they played three songs not on the album, as well as the White Stripes's "Seven Nation Army", which was great. I think no one stoped jumping and screaming and singing all through Audioslave's performance, they made it worth going to that concert and paying good money for the tickets. They close with the hit that launched them into their new era as Audioslave, "Cochise".

It took quite a while for them to prepare the stage for the master's and creators of Lollapalooza, Jane's Addcition.  Man they kick ass, I had never heard much of Jane's but they are great.  They are great all around their music, their interaction with the audience, adn everything.  I really encourage all of you who have not yet in so many years to check Jane's Addiction out.  Lollapalooza may have had alot of people that were not worth the price, but still deserve to be recognized for working hard, but it definately was worth the trip thanks to Audioslave and Jane's Addiction.
